Was think of building a 6359 John Deere engine converted to Alky for the LLSS class. Does anyone know of builders who have any Pre made parts for these 300 series engines ? Will do my own assembly, just looking for parts.Would like to have ready to pull in 5 months. Any help would be great. Thanks |

Get yourself a 4030 engine bellhousing adapter, I used one to put a 239 in a 3020. |

I'd say about everything you need will have to be custom made to order. Most builders have stuff made sitting on the shelf for sbjd motors but that motor (359,329) isn't in that classification. I call them the ssbjd (super small block John Deere). I recently got done building my llss John Deere with the 329 on alcohol, same motor as yours but different bore, if you have any questions you can email me I'll try to help with some ideas. You could try sending a pm to Justin Edwards on here. He was the original owner of the tractor named Firewater from Paris Missouri that is now out of state and named Kentucky Sledhunter. It was a 359 alky with a 4010 rearend. Was a damn good running tractor. We always enjoyed seeing it at a pull. I believe Black Crow Enterprises from Paris Missouri did much of the mechanical work. They might be able to shed some light on the topic for you. They come up on a google search. |

Didn't Mother Deere build this engine/transmission combination and call it a 4050 ? |

They sure did. First year or two were 466 NA, then went 359 (6059) turbo. There will be a plate there too. |
