Re: MSTPA December 18, 2016 01:10PM

Re: MSTPA December 18, 2016 03:34PM
Any talk of 8500 466 limited pro.

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 03:00AM
They added it for promoters that had tractors in there area.

Re: MSTPA December 18, 2016 06:31PM
What other llss groups allow aftermarket heads?

Re: MSTPA December 18, 2016 10:16PM
What is the reasons why they are going with recast heads in the llss class?

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 03:05AM
The guys with 5.9 cummins wanted to add it for more reliability.

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 01:28AM
East Central Iowa allows recast heads.in the LLSS.

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 02:19AM
More classes than just the LLSS for ECIPA.

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 07:48AM
Does this mean we can run an Indy Aluminum head ???

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 08:23AM
cast iron only

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 09:28AM
any written rules on this? i feel like this could get outta hand very quickly

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 11:55AM
Everyone might as well allow any engine any head any turbo just run what you brung its a real joke to hear all of these different rules from grown men .wanting recast heads is almost as good as someone saying a diesel needs 200 more HP than a alcohol to be able to compete I'm sure some Idiot will bring that up next why not allow the Indy heads .I no why not a couple wanted to make rules for there selfs its been boring on here for the last week all of us die hard llss pullers let them no how you feal and then lets go AMISH and shun them for shaming the class in such a way thanks Osage Outlaw nothing like this could ever get outta hand on here

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 07:18PM
MSTPA llss is a truck motor class anyway. All 5.9 Cummings and I believe two IH 360. I think the recast head addition was a bad choice. Might as well drop the limited and call it lss.

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 10:27PM
If this is best for there club and class so be it, it's there choice. It doesn't have to be like everyone else. How many are going to run with them . Just if your rules don't allow it, any they pull with your club . Better have good tech people to check

Re: MSTPA December 19, 2016 11:36PM
To me, this seriously hampers a class within an organization that struggles with numbers. Just my thought.

Re: MSTPA December 20, 2016 12:09AM
I think the reasons why some clubs struggle with numbers is there's to many tractor classes. With some of the llss is people don't want to mess with making the tractor lite enough, easier to build for heavy classes

Re: MSTPA December 20, 2016 01:07AM
well i would think you would wanna build a tractor thats compatible with pulling with multiple groups in your area and accepting recast heads doesnt make sense

bc if they build a recast head and slap it on they are limiting to pulling with either themselves or mid mo, and going up against mid mo its an open class so they would have to run against 600 cubic inch motors which not many show up from mo state to pull with mid mo anyway (greene and dobbs mostly)

but no one from mo state with the new head would be able to pull xcaliber, i dont believe iamo accepts the heads either

as a non regular of mo state and looking in, that doesnt excite me to jump over and play in their sandbox knowing they have that rule over any other organization, so i dont understand the reasoning behind it, i dont see this rule bringing in more tractors and increasing their show numbers

i havent heard of any heads being unreliable but im not familiar with the 5.9 head too well either, so maybe there is an issue?? but running recast is only a performance enhancer so again not understanding the reasoning as a whole on this rule

Re: MSTPA December 20, 2016 02:13AM
Does Mid-Mo allow recast heads? What all happened at Mid-Mo's rule meeting with all the classes?

Re: MSTPA December 20, 2016 02:26AM
its an open class so i dont see how they couldnt run them may be a grey area tho
no changes from what ive heard but also heard the board may be making some changes

Re: MSTPA December 20, 2016 04:22AM
It's called llss in the rule book.

Re: MSTPA December 22, 2016 12:27PM
What about the recast heads are we running them or not

Re: MSTPA December 22, 2016 01:50PM
This is what passed at rule meeting. You can run recast cast iron heads in the llss class. No indy heads

Re: MSTPA December 22, 2016 01:37PM
it's a run what you can and there is no limits

Re: MSTPA December 23, 2016 09:51AM
Why in the hell would you allow recast heads for the Cummins powered llss. Far more places you can not pull with one. Better yet, who would want to come play with these guys. Sounds like this group is hurting on numbers anyway. Board better rethink this one if possible. What do some of you other groups think about this?

Re: MSTPA December 23, 2016 10:31AM
Guess you should have gone to the meeting.

Re: MSTPA December 23, 2016 10:41AM
Well Mr to Jim bob, why don't you fill us in since you seem to know.

Re: MSTPA December 23, 2016 12:59PM
We also added component and any sheet metal

Re: MSTPA January 01, 2017 10:29PM
You need understand MSTPA doesn't care about putting themselves on a island after all they have a 640 class that doesn't fit with anybody else. Just to make sure nobody else can pull that class they throw in the no Puller 2000's (Roberts Rule)

Re: MSTPA January 02, 2017 12:10AM
Not sure on that rule. Outlaws was first to have the 4.1 / 640 limited pro stock class because of the Pro stock class getting out of hand on cost. That was 10 years ago on original rules but HP Pullers have been allowed for at least 5 years.

Re: MSTPA January 02, 2017 12:29AM
Pro Field 640 ci 3in turbo 300 rpm not limited pro 4.1 should have clarified

Re: MSTPA January 02, 2017 03:58AM
We have many times come down and enjoyed running the profield class in mstpa with our 466's of which they have a rule set also to allow that combination to run legally in the class. So maybe it's not quite the island you think?
