Dt360 rod alternatives
|
Anyone know of a connecting rod other than buying custom made steel rod that one can use in a diesel Dt360 truck motor to add some strength?
Possibly from another application? Thanks in advance Jeff |

I don't know what your journal size is but a 7.8 ford rod is 8.25 long 2.75 crankpin and 1-3/4 wrist pin and it is heavy duty built rod. |

a deutz has a 21/2 I put a set in a 5.9 cummins you will to do some crank work the deutz uses a narrow bearing .If you can find some rods from a 339 Hercules they would probably be perfect what are you doing we have two llss tractors that are running the stock rods with no trouble |

When I was running a DT360 I had the stock rods hardened and used bolts and nuts from Extreme Studs. |

In that case I wouldn't use the rods deutz a 339 hercules could be a close fit they are strong if you buy rod bolts and have yours hardend you will have over half of what a good set cost..Use the tractor 360 and there rods will be fine or at least use the tractor crank and rods |
