Best chassis for V8 hotrod

Thinking about stepping from an antique (oliver 77) to v8 hotrod class in Ohio. See a lot of different colors out there and wondering what brand or model might be the best starting point for a v8 tractor. Thinking in terms of economics and strength of components, as well as performance. If looking at a rolling chassis what kind of things should I look for in a well built one? Educate me . Thanks Morgans |

Cockshutt 40 and 570, Ford 4000, John Deere 3010 and 4010, and Farmall 560 656, are some that are holding up good. What class are you thinking Cotpa, omtpa, or USA east? |

Yours always runs good. Thanks for the offer. My goal was to find a roller already built. |

There are lots of places that run a single engined small tired tractor class but don't use the short frame. I'm not sure what you mean by relaxed rules.

some places let the V8s pull in light open classes,or are brush type pulls where not every issue is worried about,(I have all safety stuff),where good ole boyz pull drink some ale and share stories and have fun with not a long list of not to do rules. |
