DT466 with a P7100 where is crank signal?

Trying to do a swap. I have a 95 DT466P (p7100) motor and I'm trying to figure out the best way to grab either crank or cam signal.
Not sure if or where these sensors or or if it even has them being mechanical? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

The HEUI version had a timing sensor in the rear of the front cover. Sorry, it's been awhile but I think access was above the water pump?? Maybe your cover has a blanking plug there? |

Isspro makes one that goes off the teeth on the flywheel. |

Why can't you do one off the balancer? Either off the bolts, or cut notches in the dampener? Or ring gear for that matter. Maybe more work.
How does it pick up for whatever application it came from originally? |

Trucks ran off flywheel ring gear most ag apps had a tach cable that ran off end of fuel pump drive |
