North Dakota Drought Relief - PLEASE READ July 25, 2017 02:54PM
Please take a minute and read the below information. Please try to help any way you can. This is a serious situation.

To Whom It May Concern, We are facing a historic drought here in the Dakotas and Montana. Wildfires and tornadoes have compounded the damage on some ranches. The losses are overwhelming. There is very little available to feed cows and even water supplies are going dry. In the eastern part of the North Dakota, things are unfavorable, but not as extremely bad as they are out west. Stutsman County Farm Bureau (Jamestown, ND area and surrounding communities) has been looking for a way to help. After he and I discussed the circumstances here, my Uncle, Tom Bedgar, of Glen Rock, Pennsylvania, began rallying fellow truckers and farmers and many have so generously stepped up to the plate to donate multiple semi loads of hay and others have offered to haul it to a central drop off point in the heart of the drought-stricken area. Stutsman County Farm Bureau, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, will be collecting tax-deductible donations and distributing funds to help defray the cost of hauling and will be providing receipts donations. Any donations received above and beyond the cost of hauling hay will be sent directly to ranching families affected by the drought. Coordination of hay, trucks, trailers, and drivers is being conducted by Tom Bedgar, 717-873-4421. Monetary donations may be sent to Stutsman County Farm Bureau (with memo "Drought Relief"), P.0. Box 1490, Jamestown, ND 58402-1490. Donations can include financial contributions, products (hay) or in-kind donations such as time, fuel, mileage, lodging, meals, etc. Assign a reasonable, market value and turn it in. Donors and/or drivers will receive receipts for any goods or services invested in this effort. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have questions at 701-269-4438 or wilsonfarmnd@gmail.com. We are working on a central drop off location in Dickinson, North Dakota. It's getting worse here by the day. This will be so appreciated by the folks here and will be such an encouragement. There aren't words for how much this gesture means- financially and emotionally. To express our sincere appreciation, Stutsman County Farm Bureau is also working on lodging and meals for any participating drivers and those accompanying drivers while they are our guests in North Dakota. With Utmost Gratitude, Sarah Bedgar Wilson Promotion and Education Chairman Member, Board of Directors Stutsman County Farm Bureau 701-269-4438 wilsonfarmnd@gmail.com
