Injector lines August 16, 2017 01:51PM
Do all injection pumps use the same injection lines. For example will a stock ford 401 injection line thread on a p-pump or do I need to switch lines when I switch pumps. Any advice would be appreciated

There's several different sizes and styles of injection line ends. Most popular is 14mm X 1.5 with a swedged end, or a soldered end. The Ford would have 12mm X 1.5 on both ends if it has a SIMMS, and stock CAV injectors. Then you have the 9/16" Ermeto, like used by IH 06/56 series, MM/Oliver/White/Hercules, Allis, JD midway through 30 series. So when looking for a pump, the popular JD P pump cores could have ermeto if off of a 6030,7520, or early 84/8630. The pump fittings can be swapped over to 14mm as long as the DV holder uses the same size internal guts.
