I'm not a math wiz, but wouldn't a 40% chance of rain each hour (for example) over the course of several hours equate to an overall chance of rain that would be much higher than 40%? Always wondered about that.
I think that's what you call blowing smoke up someone's rear. Forecast 11PM- 45%, midnight-72%, 2AM-75%, 4AM-95%, 5AM-75%, 8AM-73%, never below 20% rest of day and no drying weather. 4PM tomorrow 43%, Pull time tomorrow at 5PM-53%, 7PM-54% and still 30% at 10PM. I guess you could spread that out over a couple of days and come up with that figure. Hate think I would do pullers that way. Especially the Texas boys that are fighting there on battle and many have to be at work on Monday.
Pull is still postponed at this time but if ran Sunday at 5 pm will not be a points hook. Many committed pullers have conflicts with Monday morning schedules and miles to be home in time.
The promoter is making the call on the postponement and or if cancelled based on ground conditions/weather.
This is a great event and wish the circumstances were different.
