How much lighter is a 4010 rearend, (clutch housing back, final drives not included) compared to a 4020? Anyone use a 4020 setup in a lss?

about a 180 lbs heavier but a 4020 powershift clutch housing is 2 inches longer than a 4010 so with all the diagrams on weight on the front end it will help u instead of hurting u giving up the 180 lbs

Is it just the powershift housing that is 2" longer on the 4020? What about the 4020 syncro?

not sure on syncro do no the power shift is and it also is a little lighter than 4010 even if it is 2 inches longer and can be lightened up even more without a lot of work

Unless I'm missing something, the powershift bellhousing will not bolt to a syncro trans housing......

I didnt think they would bolt up either...... are guys using powershift housing and putting custom trans in it?
I know you can put a profab in a 50 series powershift housing but 4020 powershift is different.
