I disagree, I have been using 2.2 in. And 2.0 ex. In a 4.625 bore , much better than using the stock size 2.0 and 1.75 valves. Just have to do some figuring on valve lift and where your top ring landing is |

This is a extremely common practice. Been running set ups like this for years. If you don't go deep enough and make it hard to keep rockers in one piece or valves straight. |
