Lots of variables. For big cubes (450+) I'd go with a 195gk or 1100 massey head. For smaller builds like a 4 mph tractor a 1655 head works well. |

I'm building one around 400 cubes. 3000 rpm limit. Is there a big difference between the 1650 and 1655? |

Late 1650 and 1655 are the same. The way to tell them apart from an early 1650 head is the casting divots between the sparkplugs. If you're planning on putting it on an older block you'll have to plug the back two water passage holes on the head. |

Since we're talking about olivers. Does anyone know if 88 and 1650 cranks are interchangeable? |
