2018 4th Annual Pulling For Preston July 28th February 07, 2018 03:41AM
2018 4th Annual Pulling For Preston July 28th in Gays Mills, WI Crawford County Fair Grounds.
It is hosted by the Nelson Family, Friends, & SWWI Pullers. This started four years ago after we lost our Son Preston to an accident who was an avid puller.
of course, our Family has been involved in Pulling for years prior to us starting SWWI Pullers. This pull started in our small town Soldiers Grove, WI but do to growth and weather we have moved the event to Gays Mills, WI. This event has grown to over 15 pulling classes. Some of the larger classes we will be qualifying for the finals.
There will be classes from hot or open antiques, all of SWWI Puller tractor classes and will also be running four diesel truck classes including hot street diesel, 2.6 diesel trucks, 3.0 diesel trucks and an open 4x4 diesel truck class. This is much more than just a pull. There is a large BBQ Cook Off which is always looking for more teams. The fun part about this backyard bbq cook off is that you can sample all their food and live music all day. Also, this year there will be a show and shine car and truck display.
Again, there will be free camping on the grounds and there is a campground next door where you can rent a campsite if needed. First come first served with the free sites.
All profits are donated back to the communities in memory of Preston Nelson's name.
Whether you are a puller or a fan and enjoy good food and refreshments and live music this is more than just a pull..mark your calendars for July 28th!!
I will be posting more info on classes in the near future.

Thank You,
Guy & Family

I hope everyone can make it. We have a lot of classes to run and I need to be done by 9:00pm. To estimate what time your class might start estimate a half hour for each class. I would suggest being there at least an hour before your class. All classes have added payback money. Everyone will be paid that day/night. If you wish to donate a portion or all of you check back to Pulling for Preston we appreciate it. If you do not pick up your check that day/evening we will consider it donating it back. This pull has a total payout of over $20,000 and I appreciate everyone who comes but the more we can earn form this event we donate back to the community in Preston Nelson’s name.

Scholarships
School Functions/trips
Fire & Rescue

Nice pull Guy! Food was great, easily worth the admission alone! Will be back next year if my schedule allows. Have videos from most every class, missed the 2.6 finals though, battery was about dead on the camera...lol
