I’ve seen plenty of them blow, they would hold for a little while then blow, last one I saw blew out so bad it bent a push rod. Cut it for fire rings with a modified Isky o-ring cutter in the tractor, not my favorite way to do it, but two seasons later it’s running strong with no troubles.

I have the thinner copper in stock. I believe 0.032” same as stock annealed. I can cut to stock dimensions. They are soft at that thickness.

Fire ring your engine while your working on it and it will be done fire rings are not very exspencive buy a new gasket or use your old one its money well spent
