Could an 1100 massey rearend work for a light Pro? if not using a Perkins V8 what other options are there?

An 1155 with an 8 speed would be best the 1100 is a little lighter

use a 645 sisu diesel engine. Its already at 513 cubic inch ( or 8.4L ) so it will be easy to get it up to 540cid
it also has a long stroke ( 5.7 ) in stock form . but i must warn ya the 12 valve 8.4 engines are hard to come up with
in salvage yards here in the states

here in the US the only tractors it was avalible in were the MF 8270 and 8280. when they went to the 8400 series the 8.4 was changed to 24 valve head and common rail fuel injection if i remember correctly

i have never seen one but apparently overseas there was a 8170 and 8180 that also had the 645 sisu engine

guy by lacrosse has a sisu 4 super farm 1100 thru 1155 all use same rearend

So if im understanding correct, the 1100 through 1155 are same rearends?? so the 1100 would be ok to use, if the 1155 is correct?

I have 1155 rear that's needled pro fab gears where the high/low were and 8 speed tranny with solid input shaft forsale

Great to hear someone is interested in building a MF Light Pro with the 8.4 Sisu.Thumbs Up The Batliners' out of KY are running the 8.4 Sisu in their Super Farm with an 1100 or 1155 rear end, and may be worth consulting.
