JD and IH LLSS question May 28, 2018 12:37PM
What best rear end and motor to use for Jd or Ih ally

Re: JD and IH LLSS question May 28, 2018 01:37PM
IH would be a 560 or 656,666, or 686 all the same,I like the 560 best because of the bigger bell housing and transmission although the 600 series has the stronger rear end but weaker transmission and weighs a little more but both work great . About the JDs ive done some work on some engines none on the rears but 4010s is what most use,Go something Agco i have a setup started for a cummins that could go with any of the Agco sheet metal MF,Cat WF, MM,Oliver,AC or Cockshutt or Deutz

Re: JD and IH LLSS question May 30, 2018 10:49AM
John Deere 4010 with light rear axle housings. Only disadvantage of John Deere is engine choice for Alky.

Re: JD and IH LLSS question May 31, 2018 06:24AM
what are engine options? what are other guys using?

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 01, 2018 09:59AM
There is so many combinations available but here is the more common others are running; Case IH is using DT360 or 414 destroked for Alky and small cu. in. diesel, Then DT 466 in the large cu. in. diesel. John Deere is using 379, 414 or 404 cu. in. destroked for Alky and small diesel cu. in. , Then the 466 or 7.6L for large diesel,[John Deere has to run John Deere engines] Agco and others run mostly 5.9L or 6.7L cummins for Alky and diesel. Don't forget a few Duetz, Hercules, Perkins, AC 301 and 426, and the list goes on !!

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 01, 2018 10:43AM
There are a few Deereā€™s running the 329/359 on alky.

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 01, 2018 11:25AM

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 02, 2018 01:12PM

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 02, 2018 02:05PM
Is that for a 410 smoker?

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 02, 2018 02:47PM

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 05, 2018 03:22PM
Im done pulling against the 3.6 diesles its ridiculous and a waste of time

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 05, 2018 10:49PM
Here we go again,it took them 3 yrs to get where they are at now so to be able to run with them ,everyone thinks that the only solution is " well i aint gonna run with them ,or their dominating lets ban them " why dont everybody work on their stuff and see if they can get better , Bryan Lively done a comparison a lil while back an the two fuels are as evan as they can be,---yea they run well but it all aint in the charger, theirs years and years of experience of pulling thats hard to beat, when certain alcohol tractors were dominating know one not a soul said anything, none of the diesel guys said anything, what they do, they stayed at it in the shop till they figured out how to make their stuff better an kept after it, i guess to some people the best solution is " if you cant beat them every time is to ban them so you don't have to compete against them" . wow -- the possibly another all alcohol class-- im so excited---- NOT !!!!!

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 06, 2018 12:59AM
What kind of hp out of the 3.6 diesel tractors?

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 06, 2018 01:20AM
1300 roughly, give or take 50, from what ive heard.

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 06, 2018 02:17AM
I thought maybe more. I've heard light limited prostocks making that with 3" chargers.

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 06, 2018 02:57AM
They could be making more, i don't know, but you still got to be able to put it on the ground, thats hard to do at 6000lbs, thats where experience comes in handy, control is usely a problem.

So these diesel guys are running 3.0 smooth bore turbos? Cause that's what non-whiners would be running...

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 06, 2018 06:25AM
Whin any ? Lol, some of you guys, lol, make my day, hahahaha. You can argue with results ( on paper, no guessing--- PROOF ) Bryan Lively got ALL the results and it was dead EVEN --- How can anyone argue that is beyond me but some of you guys cant handle it, its there in black an white-- plain an simple.

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 06, 2018 08:08AM
Brian reported on what? 2 diesels against how many akly tractors? We had are first hook this past weekend, second season that we allowed akly tractors in. Same charger and 250 weight difference, 7 diesel running 410 with intercooler and one akly . We were all with in 11feet of each other . The akly was 5 feet from the win. Now that's a pretty good show for the fans.

i Believe theres a lot of pullers in the class with just as many of those years and years of exsperience, Thats getting a little old. Zero to Hero that came in a box why did it take so long with all those years gone by?????

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 06, 2018 12:57PM
Jerry Sipes dominated the class for several years with spark plugs. He has more seat time then most pullers in KY. Now that others stepped up the game.... oh drat my popcorn burnt.

This was a driver's class 7 or 8 years ago. Most went white line to white line if they moved the sled. Now there are a few can make power and there are more driver's in the seats their is a challenge to be first. Step up and update from 1983 and run.

New popcorn bag is ready.

Re: JD and IH LLSS question June 06, 2018 02:24PM
I agree 3.6 turbo for the Alkys lets step up the game or let the diesle,s have there own sand pile
