Stroking a 404

What kind of power could you get out of a JD 404 if you stroke the crank and put in bigger bore. Run a 3LM 466 turbo or equivelant and have around 440cc of fuel. No water. |

I have one in mine and 550 HP is very doable. |

Skip all the head aches and put a 7.6L or a 8.1L engine in your tractor if rules allow. Better flowing head and less expensive in the long run! |

Must be stock appearing block and pump. If I go the 7.6 or 8.1 route I would have to move up to hot or modified farm and that will basically take a super farm motor. I wanna keep my 20 series sheet metal. |

A 4.25 x 5.5 is good. Lots of torque. Have built this setup more than once. |
