IH466 timing
|
last minute

Have a latest P7100 fuel system to put on and was curious what timing range everyone seems to be in. Going on a open rpm IH466 for the 8500 limited pro class. I was going to start at 36 degrees, just don't have time to be on a dyno this late in the year. |

It varies greatly depending upon your setup. Do you know what turbo you will be running? Do you know your cam data, and cam timing? Water setup? Compression?
All these things matter. No 2 engines are the same. However without the data listed above nobody can give you an accurate answer. |

Start @ your 36 degree and keep bumping it up. I use to run 42 degrees on a 505 c.i. Deere 10 years ago. Ran great. |

42 is prolly close to where you will end up. |
