Ridgeland WI pull September 02, 2018 03:06AM
Anyone know what the weather is doing out in Ridgeland WI or how its gonna affect the pull tonight ?

Re: Ridgeland WI pull September 02, 2018 04:00AM
It's raining right now, from the looks of it, it should stop by about 1 pm. Can't say that for sure. Not sure how it will Affect the pull tonight, maybe they have the track covered. Rain isn't always a bad thing, takes a lot of water in the track. I would say if it stops that they would run. But mother nature rights her own rules...

Track is covered and it’s done raining. Sun is supposed to come out around 6. Should be a great night of pulling.

Any results?? JW

Re: Ridgeland WI pull September 03, 2018 02:04PM
JW, the results have been posted to the NTPA website except for the WTPA Light Limited Super Stock results. Brian Miller "Case of Alcoholism" and Steve Zenz "Z-Ride" both made the pulloff and decided to both split first.

What was the pulloff mark set at?

Re: Ridgeland WI pull September 03, 2018 02:47PM
330 ft.; but both tractors had already pulled twice as the sled had to be reset twice.

Re: Ridgeland WI pull September 03, 2018 02:51PM
Exactly, full pull was set at 330', Brian flew out the end and the sled was reset. Steve still went past after the sled reset. On the third reset they both still made it out. Because they both ran twice, they just decided to take the tie.

Man NTPA needs to get this figured out! Pulloff set at 330 then all classes that had a pulloff had winners past 330? Pullers need to get together with the sled guy and discuss this problem if the officials want a 330 track. If the "max track length" is 330 and a puller goes past 330 in the pulloff he technically should be flagged right? Now he has run twice and went past the "max track length" twice vs floating the finish and have all tractors that went past 330 only doing it once! Now in this case you just had a vehicle go past what NTPA considers th unsafe runoff area twice. The rules need to change again and this "max track length" rhetoric needs to stop. Things continue to change at every event. Who calls the shots? If were just gonna do what the official of the event wants then tell us that. Don't hide behind insurance then when we get to the pulloff leave the sled light and then float it. Fix this problem NTPA. There is no more pulloff money and don't act like you the insurance is your major concern!

During the pulloff they never added weight or adjusted the sled setting to stop them before the 330' mark. I know that the pulloff was set at 330' and that was the max track length, but there's roughly 50 more feet of track beyond that.

One of the light supers went 360+ feet.

Re: Ridgeland WI pull September 04, 2018 03:06PM
Exactly what my point was, max track length 330, 5 go out in light super and they leave the sled? Float the dam n class and be done with it. Get your head out of your a$$ and wake up!
