8500 Limited Pro IH gear ratios

What is too tall of ratio for this class in the midwest? Thinking about going to 18-1 for the tallest or is that too tall. Thinking a 22-1 or 21-1 as my lowest. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated. Would be a 4 speed with a 706 rear. |

ask your engine builder or refer to your dyno sheets if you already have them. That will determine how you gear your tractor |

Somebody will help give it a day or two not everyone has a engine builder and to top it off how would he no.Go to the dyno it has a chart that tells what HP for each gear LOL Every one has needed some advise when starting out new wish i could help but its not my class srry |

18 to 21 is spot on. Usually you will run a 19 maybe a 20 on a hard track. |
