Heard outlaws have added a mini rod class? Who’s running with them?

Re: Outlaw mini’s November 19, 2018 05:43AM
The sled is one that was built by Bauer's just a couple years ago, so very nice.

The rules are;
-2050 lbs max
-575 cid max for supercharged engines
-650 cid max for NA
-45% for 14-71
-65% for 8-71
-18.4 x 16.1 max tire
-1800 HP max turbine

There are already around 11 competitors committed to run in 2019.

I'm not a mini puller but a fan was wondering if rules match ppl and ntpa

Re: Outlaw mini’s November 20, 2018 01:35AM
I would imagine NTPA's rules mirror PPL, but here are the PPL rules for mini rods.

Who are the 11 committed competitors

Re: Outlaw mini’s November 20, 2018 02:07AM
Will they allow diesels in this class?

Re: Outlaw mini’s November 20, 2018 04:02AM
I am sure some of this class will be made up eventually of spin offs from mods and TWD truck owners at some point. There are several smaller mini rods located throughout the Outlaw region that will jump in at some of these events. Heard at one time some of the class will be made up of competitors from as far as California. This is a good class and good move by the Outlaw Organization. Should of been done years ago. Great move for the sport. Look for good things to come of this in the midwest and the pulling world over the next couple of years.

Is there going to be a naturally aspirated class or just a blower class, who do you talk to about this and rules etc

No NA class, the rules will be published in a couple weeks.

The rules will mirror the NTPA and PPL.

If that didn't answer your questions, I'll do my best to help you
