Swamping engines on Massey
|
Has any one ever tried putting a 1206 or 1106 series Perkins engine in a Massey 1130 before? Wanna try to get more cubes out of my engine and don’t know how too |

the early 1106 e60ta uses the 1006 block so it will match the 354 at the rear of the engine however it is still only 365 cubic inches
the late 1106 e66ta uses a different block ( cat design ) the rear bolt pattern looks the same but cant be sure without measuring this is a 402 cid engine the 1206 uses the same block as the 6.6 liter 1106. but its around 420 cubic inch how big do ya need to get to? |

What model tractor did these engines come out in? Do they have a better cylinder head than a regular 354 Perkins? |

The 1106 6.0 liter came out in the early 5465,6465,6475,6480,7465,7475,and 7480 tractors
The 1106 6.6 liter came out in the later builds of these tractors from 2007 to 2009 All these engines have better heads than the 354. The 1006 engine that replaced the 354 has a way better head. The 12 port version of the 1006 ( build code YH and newer ) is even better than the early 7 port heads |

Is there a 12 valve cross flow head available that will fit the 354 block? If so what would the model number be and best place to find one?

Im afraid there were no cross flow heads that will fit the 354 or 1006 block |

I’d say find a swamp at the bottom of a fairly large hill. Strap in put in high gear mash throttle and hold on. If soupy enough, I believe you will cover engine.
Sorry couldn’t resist. Darn spell checker!! |

Just put a 7.4 or 8.4 SISU and be done with it. It's already been done so no need to reinvent the wheel. Much better engine than the Perkins |
