Truthfully any AGCO brand can run an Allis hood. I know a few ACs running 180 and 190 rears.

Engine - AC 301 with diesel twins and a cooler. 301 on alky. AC 426 on diesel that is either decubed to 410 for a cooler or bumped up to 470. Cummins is also an option for diesel or alky.

There's one being build with a Detroit on alcohol to run with Badger State hopefully this year. It was running with 190 sheet metal and I think 190 rear

Re: Allis LLSS January 28, 2019 04:39AM
Doesn't the sheet metal have to match rear and and stock engine for badger state? Ih 414 isnt the stock engine for a allis jus saying funny

As we were told Allis did use a Detroit motor in some track tractors in the early 60's. Three year ago when we added alcohol tractors we also changed what engines could be used for decubing and the sheet metal as to be board approved . So we slowly coming out of the dark ages as some of you say we are in.

When we talked on the the phone , that we work with you to let you pull, since you when coming from Michigan. I want to see how all these engine combinations work together.

Re: Allis LLSS January 28, 2019 07:43AM
Could you run a Ac motor with a IH rear end and orange sheet metal? Its easier and cheaper to get IH gears

Re: Allis LLSS January 28, 2019 10:14AM
Detroit engine used in mid 90's 85?? or 89?? Agco Allis tractors. Came in 466 and 530. Combo's from 408 to 572. Navistar made them for Perkins, Detroit and Navistar.
I don't know if it maters but NTPA actually lists it in the rule book as a replacement for the 426 Allis.
