"Sweet on Life" Pulling For A Cure Rock Valley, Iowa April 19, 2019 02:41AM
Would like to invite one and all to the annual Pulling for a Cure charity test and tune truck and tractor pull for the American Cancer Society in Rock Valley, Iowa Friday night May 31, 2019 at 6:30 P.M. It will be held once again at the Thunder in the Valley arena on the west side of town next to the Hay Sale lot. We are featuring the classes of the Great Plains Truck and Tractor Pullers, but anybody with a truck or tractor from any associtation can come make a test pass or two before they head out on their respective circuits. We ask that if you are at 3,000 rpms or more you have all the mandatory safety equipment. We will be featuring the Pro Farms, the Super Fields, the 3,000rpm, and the Farm Stock classes as well as the Super Stock, Modified, and the Pro Modified Twd and Fwd trucks of Great Plains. You will be fit into whatever class is closest to what you run, we want to give everyone a chance at a little seat time and practice to knock the cob webs off. We have had plenty of Alcohol super stocks, Diesel super stocks, 4.1 Limited Pros, Light Limited Pros, Super Farms and blown twds stop by over the years. So hopefully you can make it out for a great night with a lot noise, a lot of smoke, a little fire, and way to much fun all for a great cause. If you are planning on coming to the charity pull this Friday night , please check pull off or the sweet on life website for updates on Wednesday and Thursday,we will try to keep everyone up-to-date whether the pull will happen Friday night or we may have it rescheduled for Saturday night , it looks like we will be able to make it happen one of those two nights, looking forward to seeing everyone and helping raise money for The American Cancer Society

We are for sure running the classes offered by the Great Plains Truck and Tractor Pullers Friday night.

Stock Farm-7,700lb, 8,700lb, 9,700lb, 10,700lb, 11,700lb,12,700lb
3000rpm-6,700lb,7,700lb,8,700lb, 9,700lb, 10,700lb
Super Field(3200 rpm) 8,200lb most likely hook this twice
Pro Farm-8,500lb light, 8,500lb heavy

Super Stock 2wd trucks-5,700lb,5,800lb
Modified 2wd trucks-5,500lb, 6,200lb
Pro Modified 2wd trucks-6,200lb light, 6,200lb heavy

Super Stock 4wd trucks-8,000lb light, 8,000lb heavy

Rules are posted on the Great Plains Tractor Pulling website

this is a test and tune so even if you don't fit these classes you are more than welcome to come hook and make a test pass. We will try to group everyone as close to the Great Plains classes as possible since its a test and tune and there is no prize money or points. We had 5 4.1 limited pros show up back in 2013 so we made a class for them. There has been in the past enough super farms to make a class as well we will have to see who all shows up Friday night. Just want to let everyone know the Sweet in Life Tractor Pull is still on track for this Friday Night at 6:30 pm. Come join us for a fun night and to support a great cause. A full concession stand will be available! Hope to see you there. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.

The track is drying nicely, sun should be out all day today so looks like we should be a go for tomorrow night, smoke flies at 6:30 come out and enjoy some Pulling , test and tune your tractor and support the American Cancer Society, Rock Valley Iowa tomorrow night Friday night May 31 , see you all there

Valley Pullers and the Sweet on Life Relay for Life team have been working there tails off to get the track in shape and everything is a go for tomorrow night!

I'm confused on the weight classes light and heavy? Isn't 6500, well , 6500 and 8000, 8000, 8500, 8500 and so on?
I dont understand the same weight being light and heavy at the same time?
