JD 9.0L crank in 7.6 block?
|
Help

Guys, I’m sure it’s been asked before, but is it possible to put a JD 9.0L crank in a JD 7.6L block? Obviously there is machine work required, just trying to understand the ramifications and whether it’s the right direction. |

Mains are larger on the 9.0L. You could drop it in an 8.1 block without issues. |

Yes it can be done. We’ve done it and it worked. 375.00 off the mains and 275.00 of the rods |

Guys, just to clarify, are 8.1L and 7.6L rod journals the same size width and diameter? |
