Hotfarm is 3 thousands super is 5 thousands on rods

3 thousand's is pretty much stock 15w40 would be better for that engine in my opinion but go 5 now since the cranks junk.I hear a lot of SS run 7 thousands and run 70 weight oil and if your Avid pump that has the internal built in bypass and the pump is to big for your engine you could be foaming the oil inside the pump.go with a external bypass I had the same problem you described with a petterson they plugged the bypass sent me an external bypass problems ended
