Hi, I always see between 1250-1300 at the end of the track. Pyro is just before the turbo. there is any benefit to raise the exhaust temp around 1400-1450 ? I would like to run the turbo harder. I’m not lean on fuel, smoke is heavy. This is on ih466, open rpm, 3x3, water injection, no cooler. Thanks guys

Where is your fuel set at? sounds like you could turn it back a touch that would heat it up but I dont know if that would drive the charger harder.

More heat will definitely drive the turbo harder. How much water are you running??
I’d want to see 1400-1450 either with less fuel, water or both

How much does temp drop threw turbo normally. I know you want 1400 before. Was curious as to what turbo exit temp is.

Fuel is around 700cc and water 40oz/10sec

I’d start by backing your fuel down a bit. You are too rich. Water is pretty close

Advance the camshaft to between 98 &100 degrees. Will give you higher exhaust temps also.

Leave your fuel alone and drop your timing down to create more exhaust temp, you’re going to need to be well north of 700cc of fuel with an open RPM 466 3 x 3 set up to be competitive
