. I am building a oil pan for a open rpm 466ci dry block 3X3 p pump class. How many gallons of engine oil should I build the pan? |

Stock size pan will work fine. been running stock pan for years mo issues. However If you are building one, I would plan for future and make it 7 gallons. Just my honest opinion. good luck! |

I am going to install a ledge at the rear of the pan to help keep launch oil away from the rotating assembly. |

I have been pondering. I have worked on some drag race engines. One turned 8800 rpm in the traps. Does The relatively slow rpm (at mid track) of a diesel pulling engine warrant a windage tray? I assume if the pan is deep the crank windage would not be relevant |
