Water Injection 1066

Water

Looking for some insight on water Injection for a "farm stock" tractor. Obviously not farmed with anymore. Bigger pump, injectors, turbo, the works. Just curious if water would be beneficial and who has the best kits. |

Depends on rules but adding water will certainly give you power but you'll want to watch the EGTs so you dont burn up the pistons. If your looking for a cheap system a sure Flo pump with sprayer nozzles in frint of the turbo will work pretty well. Will want to watch the compressor wheel if done that way because the water can erode the wheel. Otherwise disk and core nozzles with a high pressure electric pump into the clrssover works well |

You do understand the reason to add water IS to control EGT and prevent burned pistons right? Adding water doesnt increase those temps but actually lowers them |

As Keith said, Water will decrease cylinder temperatures. UNLESS you are running alcohol with the water. Alky water is not legal in most clubs. If you run more than 50% methanol with water you will melt pistons. ( Dont ask how I know this) Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/31/2020 07:25AM by gonzo 1066. |
