sbjd welded up wet clutch grinds

We have a sbjd with a wet clutch that is welded up. If you start the tractor with the clutch pressed in everything is fine. When you let the clutch out if the pto lever is back it grinds terrible. If you push the lever ahead you cant shift gears but doesn't grind. Changed one other thing is put a new style hitch on back so we removed the pto shaft and bearing on the back. Did not take the big shaft out. I must have missed something. Any help is appreciated. Thank |

Did you modify clutch valve. If not pto brake is still trying to work. |

The clutch valve has a jumper hose on it but it sure seems like the pto brake is trying to work. My understanding is if you pull the lever all the way back it applies the brake and this is what seems to be happening. Is there more that needs to be done to the clutch valve? |

You cannot use a hose to jump it on the outside you have to take the clutch control valve housing off and modify it to make the traction and pto operating pistons work together with the pedal and block the pto brake port |
