The Naturally Aspirated Tractor numbers took an unfortunate dive so the Heritage Pro Stocks appear in their place. I am glad to see two classes of those tractors now at Gordyville, thank you to Klint and his Whatssmokin crew. Bryan Lively -

Farm Stock is somewhat close to ISP Too Hot To Farm (SC/SW Altered) rules- I think.
I'm sure the site has the full rules but I know some of them have run in that class before. |

That's a good question. One that no one knows the answer to yet. The virus will not go away until we all get a vaccine. Let's hope and pray that one is developed before then. Until that happens, I doubt if the restrictions will be lifted in Illinois due to our Governor. Now that's just my opinion and it doesn't mean that I am right. |

NA Super Stocks can run in the 6,500 Pro Farm Class and/or 6,000 Limited Super Stock at 7,000 lbs.

Are they actually running two LLSS classes? One at 6000lbs and one at 6500lbs? When clicking on the rules for each class, the rules for 6000lb LLSS come up for both. |

The 4250 makes perfect sense. 4250 should have more color in the class and 8mph should level the playing field a bit in both 4250 and 5250. Bryan Lively -

I'm happy to see that a speed limit has been added to the heritage pro stock classes. Before the speed limit it was just a game of who had the most cubic inces. Now only if they would let turbos and any year of tractor pull in those classes. Big cubic inch gas vs turbo diesel in a light 8mph class are very competitive against each other and gives the class good variety. Gordyville is not an antique pull so there should not be rules on how old the tractor has to be. I hope the rule makers will consider this, i have a few tractors I WILL bring to gordyville if they allow any year tractor with a turbo. |

I have to say, I'm not too big on the speed limit classes. Not too many people want to sit at Gordyville and watch a tractor make a horn go off.... over and over and over.
Gordyvilles reputation has always been "Midwest Winter Nationals" for the bigger league tractors. There's several indoor antique pulls in the midwest that people can get their fill from if thats what they're in to. Just my opinion. Leave gordyville to the open no-speed limit tractors. |

George, my friend, you're wrong.
Yes the mph guys can pull all over the country most winters, you remember who follows them around? However, Gordyville was the golden goose for many of those mph guys who sat in the stands watching and didn't have a class for them for many years. They wanted to try that tough track out...and in January 2020 they got to do so. Every one of them were appreciative for the opportunity to pull no matter how they placed. Everywhere else they go in winter the crowds are thin; they basically pull in front of their fellow pullers and families. Its a good, but small, crowd. These gentlemen who are just as skilled at pulling as anyone deserve a chance to pull in front of a bigger crowd that likely appreciates pulling in all forms. Flea and I agreed that 8mph would be in the best interest of the classes. It adds a variety of machines and will require some driving skill because, for 2021, if you blow the horn once...you're done. Dq. Out. The dirty little secret here is that for every smoker that has to be picked up and moved around in the sequence of a hook, I suspect you can run 2 of these mph tractors because they do not need to be towed around, and dont tear the track up as much. I am grateful that Klint called Flea and me this time about a year ago and wanted something different for the pull. I look forward to continue to being a part of a group effort to provide a different pullers a place to play in the future. Bryan Lively -

To Brian Lively, please consider letting turbo charged diesels in the class. The class shouldn't be an antique only class it should allow farm tractors in it as well. A turbo charged diesel will be very comparable to a built up antique gas tractor. This would allow for great variety. The age of the tractor shouldn't matter nor if its natural aspirated or turbocharged, the speed limit is the equalizer the rest of the rules should pretty much be run what you brung besides safely rules. |

I get a kick out of all the folks that want promoters to cater to them, put on your own pull and you can should all the rules and classes you like.Be glad there is a pull period and stop to think how many selfish people want something.Are you installing a smoke tube on your diesel? |

In my opinion, any mixed class that has turbocharged tractors in it will inevitably put NA tractors at a disadvantage and escalate costs even more to be competitive, speed limit, rpm limit, or not.

This above is why the NASS took and "unfortunate dive" as you stated above. There was a full class for a few years but then light turbos and V-8's were added in. Right or wrong, that's why they don't get them to come anymore. |

just stating my opinion and i don't go to gordy to watch mile per hour pulling, i go to plenty of those pulls. i understand the want to level the field but i also like the run it if you can at one pull per year . Good luck and i hope it goes over well as i stated before i just think this isn't the venue for mph classes |

Klint Tucker runs the show. He's going to have whatever class he wants. If you show up, abide by the rules, have decent numbers in your class and don't throw a fit about it pretty good chance he will invite you back again. Crying on this forum means nothing to him. If you dont like it don't come to show. History has shown that other people will show up. Pleasing everyone is impossible. His uniqueness in the classes is what sets gordyville apart from the norm. Let's be thankful if he's able to have it period. |
