Hello,
This is our first tractor build. On our first test day we discovered that after like 10 starts with no extra load, clutch starts to drag. Definetly we need more clearence bethween disc and pressure plate. video: [www.youtube.com] We are planning to use fastest gear for pulling (max 45 km/h, 28 mph) This is direct drive in gearbox and strongest, gearbox is quite weak. Atlas 12.5" slipper two disc clutch, disk clearance 1mm (.040") 3000rpm 2500 kg (5500lbs) 30" wheels hopefully 500hp (600cc fuel, hx52, good air to air cooler) What should be good disc clearance? Is there some basics for disc clearance on different disc numbers, rpm, hp etc. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/14/2020 03:49AM by PullingJumz. |

Surely you meant 0.060".........not 0.600"? Big difference, lol! |

.080-.100” seems best for my slipper setup. Goes in gear a lot better with more pack clearance |

I contacted Karl, he told that 0.080" is good for me. |
