As of right now there are atleast 40 9500 hot farm tractors signed up. They are going to be split up into two flights, who do you think is going to be the champion? Lots of good tractors, its going to be an exciting class to watch!

My money would be on Mike Robins. He’s just hard to beat but that being said it won’t be easy.

Austin Peters has bin on a roll with the Hoosier Hooker

When will badger state hot farms change their rules to ppl hot farms? There isn't much of a difference between them but its enough of a difference to keep the ppl hot farms out of badger state. PPL and Badger state are supposed to be partner associations, pullers from both organizations should be able to pull together. Its time for badger state to get with the times and take on ppl and ntpa hot farm rules to make 9500 hot farm a solid uniform class.

PS: Ntpa and ppl hot farm rules are the same.

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 05, 2021 03:46AM
To Wis hot farm: if you want change come to a meeting that Badger State has . Have to talked with Badger State 466 hot farm rep ? They have been ave 15- 20 tractors at pulls .

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 05, 2021 09:28AM
i dont pull either one so i dont have a dog in the fight, but it seems like bstpa has a pretty good thing going. i dont know why wisco boys would want to mess up a good thing, that is probably one of the best run organizations and one of the most consistent classes as far as numbers around. a good question might be, why doesnt ntpa/ppl change their rules to meet bstpa? if anything they are more odd ball rules than the boys up north.

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 05, 2021 12:47PM
Mr runkle I see both worlds of what you are saying is there anyone in the the hot farm class going to travel to a meeting from midwest or whatever to get a don't come around here attitude or answer most likely not. What I can see is there are alot of people on this thread that have a pretty good interest in hot farm that if could come together in some way would make a great widespread class with alot of color, I for one love this class and have a tractor in it would like to see turn into a more widespread class
Thanks Klint for giving us the opportunity to see how all these different hot farms compete together

Mr Werner: Why is it when someone wants to pull with Badger State , I see we're to change for them ? The 466 hot farm has very good following of tractors and very good numbers at pulls. I understand everyone wants unified rules , but don't make a club change if your only going to pull a couple times.

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 06, 2021 01:35AM
Yes badger state 466 hot farm has a good following but the point is is that it could have even a better one if theyd adjust their rules to be the same as the other 9500 hot farm classes. Like i said before there really isn't much of difference its just enough of a difference not to let the rest of the hot farms pull with badger state. The badger state pullers wouldn't even have to change anything on their tractors and they would still compete well with the ppl and ntpa rules.

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 06, 2021 02:27AM
Badger State 466 have the same rules, as,

Tristate pullers(Wisconsin/Minnesota/Iowa) Hot farm.

United pullers of Minnesota (Pro) farm.

South West Pullers (Wisconsin)Hot farm.

And possibly N.E.W. (Wisconsin).

The Badger State tractors ,have also tossed some weights off, and hooked with EC, from time to time.

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 06, 2021 04:30AM
I pull in Ohio where we have region II NTPA and on west side of state we have Darke County pullers who run Hot Farm. I like the idea of Badger State running 466 limit, however I believe the reason that NTPA and others do the 510 limit is to accommodate the Massey's, Cases and other manufacturers that came out with 500 plus cube engines or had Cummins 8.3 replacements. I'm ok with that too. However unified ruled across the board would be nice so you could travel and pull within the rules especially in a year like we just had where pulling was so scarce.

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 06, 2021 04:47AM
What would be wrong with just opening up your rules were ppl/ntpa/tractor's could pull with badger st or they could come pull with ntpa/ppl/have a little silver series deal or something seems like the way line up looks it would have quite a following

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 09, 2021 04:28PM
Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Endless tractor get DQ'd for running illegal water last year????? Thought in the drivers meeting they said he was asked to leave and never come back???

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 10, 2021 08:36AM
Well its all - look at that squirrell - matter, turn of the heads and its all ok !

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 15, 2021 02:27PM
I've been watching this thread was hoping to get a response out of some more people.I have to wonder if some is worried about pulling with ppl/ntpa hot farms or they don't want to see the class grow.

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 11, 2021 06:30AM
fred guy with ford from southern indiana i think it is blue rope layer he will win, will beat mike robins like a drum

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 18, 2021 07:52AM
Whats the cost difference in a 510 v.s. 466. What do you have to do to get 510 out of a 466. More to it then a drop in kit.

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 18, 2021 12:50PM
Not any cost difference if you're buying steel sleeves and billet pistons for IH or SBJD. You can put them in without boring or stroking. That being said if you do that you can put bigger valves in the head and do quite a bit more work on it to gain airflow and the ball keeps rolling from 1 thing to another and pretty soon you will spend alot more than you planned on. But that's tractor pulling the spending NEVER ends !!!

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 18, 2021 02:48PM
A 466 can run against a 510 any day. The main reason to have a 510 rule is to allow more color in the class not so much about the performance. If you wanted to change your 466 to 510 for all the engines that i can think of it wouldn't be a big deal. But like i said a 466 will do the job, its been proven at gordyville many times.

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 19, 2021 12:21AM
I have to disagree with the point about 466s having the same performance as a 510. When you use the 4.75 or 4.625 bore and 414 or 436 crank you can have a much better flowing head because of the bigger valves. Yes, the 466s will lug better but the bigger bore 510's can turn a lot more rpms and get a lot more air in the engine. With that being said, there are some deckplate and long rod 466 motors that are VERY expensive to build that could get within 10ft of the 510s but in general the 510s are much stronger. I am also a huge fan of having the hot farm classes as 510 classes because it allows for much more color and for jd and ih guys there are three easy and effective bore and stroke combinations to get close to 510. 4.5 x 5.35, 4.625x5, 4.75x4.75 and if you use the two bigger bore combinations you can use the big valves.

What do you Cheese heads think about combining the hot farm class you all bin quite since Brady give you all beatin

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm January 29, 2021 12:43AM
This cheese head is good to go to change all 9500 hot farm classes to ntpa/ppl rules. It sure didn't take brady to convince me either! Lol

Re: Gordywana 9500 Hot Farm February 05, 2021 08:02AM
They sure put on a good show! Tight competition and good running tractors!
