Entry Level 2wd January 25, 2021 12:07PM
Seems like people create new tractor classes every other day under the guise of "entry level". What about an entry level 2wd class... 482 or 512 steel block, 8-71 standard blower. With all the chassis for sale, seems like this would be a great opportunity for folks that like blown alky stuff but can't afford/don't want hemi stuff...

Not exactly entry level, but it could be... I've said for years that I'd love to see a blown small block TWD class with a 358 CID limit (like Nascar). OEM blocks and heads (any material as long as it's pure... 100%... OEM), sheetmetal brand and engine brand must match (fiberglass and carbon fiber bodies are fine but a Ford bodied truck should be powered by a Ford block same for a Toyota, Chevy, Dodge, Jeep, etc...) I'd be fine with OHC or electronic ignition/management or anything modern as long as the heads and block matched the hood. Modern vs. classic and with the abundance of small block Chevy stuff out there it could be fairly cheap to get started.

I think it would be awesome to see Chevy, Ford, Toyota fans cheer for something that was actually related to their brand. I know it's just a pipe dream but I think it could quickly have a fan base.

Side Note: We are no longer accepting PayPal donations. They have changed their terms of service and stated they would fine PayPal users for spreading "misinformation" and "hate, violence, racial or other forms of intolerance that is discriminatory". PayPal did not provide definitions for some of these vague terms. Woke corporate policies regarding "misinformation" could result in an automatic fine of $2,500 which would have been removed directly from the customer’s PayPal account. PayPal did backdown from some of their policies but quietly implemented portions of them in later terms of service. A financial institute has no right to monitor social media accounts or speech. This is unacceptable and I'll no longer do business with PayPal.

How about a 2WD diesel class?? It should be less expensive than trying to make a 4wd drive train hold up, Plus the crowd effect of the front end in the air and the black smoke rolling out and no hopping or jumping of the drive train??

I'm all for combo classes but I know the mere mention of that term makes some people queasy. Personally I'd love it. With a little dyno time you could probably find a reasonable turbo size for the diesels that would be competitive.

Again, it's a pipe dream but I think it could be very popular very quickly.
