Re: NEW PAYOUT FOR OPEN CLASSES IN CUMBERLAND August 24, 2009 02:17AM
Thanks guys. Was wondering why in some of the wi pulls their is a (grace weight) when we get ready to go to a pull we figure which class we can get in actually the classes we built the tractor for example say 7000 open. then when we sign up some guys say hey can we get 200# (grace weight) ??? Whats up with that? If the flyer says 7000 then thats what the weight should be. Not any _______ ( grace weight) Just an example does the state and nat people give (grace weights) I don't think so. or am I off base here. State your class weights and stick to them so guys know what to build for. If you can't make that weight go to the next class. goes for any weight class

Some scales are different. Not every scale is exactly right on the money. So if you built a tractor for 10500 open and you weighted 10550 at a pull you wouldn't be able to pull. The scales are getting moved around to different pull all the time after they have been certified which affects them. Hope to see you there. Thanks Sandy.

But if you weighed 10550 wouldn't you be able to adjust by removing a weight. Should have some moveable built in to allow for scale variations??? Instead of knowingly going heavy then asking for (grace weight) ???
