Is GALOT pull in danger of being cancelled? May 12, 2021 10:35AM
Two anecdotes-
1) Lucas Oil just cancelled 2 dirt late model races in Seymour, TN (close to North Carolina) and Talladega, AL this coming weekend due to the gas shortage in that area.

2) we have friends southwest of Wilmington, NC who mentioned last evening the gas lines were very long. I saw a news story where a fight broke out at a gas station in NC.

Hopefully this will clear up in a few days, but with GALOT being one week away, there is a possibility their pull may face issues beyond their control which may force a cancellation..
Since pullers will be coming from hundreds of miles away, hopefully one way or another they will be able to make the call no later than Wednesday of next week.

Hard to say if the pull wont happen and with under 10 days anything could happen .. Lack of tankers to move the fuel with 25 % being lack of good drivers amplified by covid shutdown and throw in pipe line or refinery shut down its a perfect storm issue ...

The pull is a GO. Fuel supply at stations is expected to be back to normal by Sunday. See y’all next week!
