Cylinder Heads August 29, 2009 11:44AM
I want to hear opinions of what engine types and models lend themselves best to pulling. Please rank them from easiest to hardest. For example, (1. JD , 2. IH, 3. Ford etc.) We are talking non specialty or billet heads, but those used in farm stock type classes. They can all be made to work. Which ones flow best from the factory. Start firing away.

IH crossflow Heads are pretty good and can be made to flow alot, like the ones on a 360 truck motor. Ford 474 truck heads are also pretty good. Reguardless of what kind you use if you have them filled with aluminum instead of hardblock you can port them very heavily. Hope that helps. There are lots more good heads out there, those are just some that come to mind.
