Diesel Tachometer

I have tried one of the Autometer tachs that has the pickup strapped to the alternator but it doesn't work very well and sometimes not at all. I was looking for a crank or flywheel trigger system to feed a normal tach. Anyone have a suggestion as to what to use?
Thanks Mike |

I used this universal signal converter with my Autometer tach and a mag-pickup on the front pulley with a single magnet

$18 digital tach off Amazon is the most accurate I've found so far. |
