Putting together an alky 301 ac llss on a budget, can I use diesel pistons cut down to give me a 10:1 compression ratio or should I spend the money for forged pistons?

Send me a message I have a set of aluminum hemi rods and flat top pistons I’d get rid of reasonable. Make 362 ci.

To answer your question, you can probably do that. I did that on a 301 IH lss and ran them for years with out a problem. But if you could get a set of forged aluminum ones at a reasonable price like Robert has posted, you'd be better off.
