What's the best ran motorsports organization? March 30, 2022 05:10AM
No right or wrong answer.

What's the best run motorsports organization right now?

NASCAR? IndyCar? F1? NHRA? World of Outlaws? PPL? NTPA? AMA? There are lots of different forms of motorsports, but in your opinion, which one is overall the best ran (and define that however you like)?

Whichever one you feel is the best run at the moment, why do you feel that way? What could pulling apply that would be an improvement over the current situation?

Governing boards have uneven numbers to keep from having a tie, people will never agree on much, most likely Never on Motorsports rules, guidelines and or generally what is good for the sport, organization, club, event, venue or trip ,vacation or time to arrive. Too many Chiefs and not enough Injuns. That being said, we need strong minded leaders, assertive confident that follow the rules FOR ALL, that the membership votes in. Favoritism, bias, and prejudice are all human qualities that mess up most people issues.

Hard to say right now, but in the 80's and 90's NASCAR seemed to show everyone else how it's done.

If there is a wrong way to do it NASCAR will figure it out. The only reason that the stands look good is because they have taken out half the seats out. They never show the stands when they are following the cars with a drone.

Outlaws is growing as the other 2 in the big 3 are just barely maintaining. PPL needs to enforce rules and get tech officials that check for rule violations on regional level. Knowingly allowing Tires over 210inches by a 1/3 of class is ridiculous and has cost PPL West dearly in 4.1 class(Outlaws 4.1 are growing). Catching competitors with illegal fuel and water more than once in some cases and nothing happens is a definite problem. Rules states ban for year and a day for violating rules. PPL West is on its way out and shame to see. Rumor is the kill switch puller is going Outlaws maybe send him to tech school and give him a tape measure instead of quart jars of apple pie. Do your job please.

NTPA is dieing a slow death just due to greed. Pay more money. Purse hasn't went up with the times.

My opinion, dirt racing (Outlaws and Allstars ) seem to have things figured out. A uniform set of rules allowing one to compete in a 410 sprint car with no rule changes from coast to coast. Most nights a support division making there almost no downtime in the show. Occasionally you get a NASCAR driver come in for a race and that adds fans. Pulling doesn’t have that household name everyone knows like a Larson or Bell. Sprint cars, are rolling billboards people can relate to with sponsors. They have capitalized on streaming networks also. Pulling suffers greatly from exposure. How do we fix that? A topic that’s been discussed for years.
