What factory 5.9/6.7 Cummins engines are the best to use for pulling?
Do the 6.7 Cummins hold up as well as the 5.9? |

5.9 blocks can handle more is what I been told and the early 5.9s are 14mm main studs newer ones went to 12mm. |

Pre-97 Encore 5.9 blocks in stock form are strongest, as they had 14mm main bolts as opposed to 98+ storm blocks that were 12mm. 6.7 block is better with a deck plate and the main bolts opened up to 14mm or 9/16. Also the 12v and early 24v engines had better rods in them. Depends on your HP goal. Anything under 1000-ish horsepower a stock 5.9 12 valve with some bolt ons will be fine. Over that think about a 6.7 block with a deck plate and some billet rods. |

Is there any difference in the ag blocks or the natural gas/lp blocks? |

Rumor has it the international casted 5.9s are stronger found in some pre 1998 dodge trucks. |
