TLDR. How hot does an aluminum head on an alcohol burning engine get during a pull? This is mostly for tractor engines but could apply to others.

Long version. I was talking to a customer about some studs and we talked about how the head grows in height compared to the stud because of thermal expansion. I would like to determine how clamping pressure and its relation to applied torque and fastener stretch temperature creates.

The plan is to calculate expansion at a certain temperature and then stretch a stud that much while measuring as the pressure goes up. Videos would be put up on Youtube.
