4.1 turbo question

The other day at the Western Series pull in Council Bluffs, Iowa, a few of the 4.1 tractors had a different sound as they were spooling up at the starting line. It sounded like a whistle from the turbo. I've never noticed it before. I'm curious if this is a new turbo or where the noise is coming from. The tractors that I heard it with did quite well. |

The biggest problem is tires not turbo. Call ANY tire cutter and they will tell u India pro pullers are 212-215. Why measure drawbars and check writ. They are illegal. Badger state actually last year measured and wow too tall. PPL step up!!!!! Doesn’t matter who had them on measure them! |

I have seen several sets measured that measured under the 210 limit!!! So again know your facts or protest them, but do something besides bitch. |

The whistle you are hearing is the air going over the slot in the turbo. |

Thank you. These two turbos sounded distinctly different than what I'm used to hearing. I was wondering if there was a new turbo out that made that sound but it was probably just nothing. |

I’m gonna assume IH 1456 is being sarcastic, as the 4.1 class is a smooth cover class, now MWE groove or “slot” allowed. |

Probably the new 4 blade turbo. Not to many of them out there from the sound of it. |
