I finally got time to edit some of the earlier stuff of this season.
Here is the best big modified class I got in front of the camera this year.

Good stuff!! Do miss the twin Griffons...

Wow! Thank you for sharing this video with us.

Talk about variety, that class had turbines both 3 and 4 turbine combos, aircraft engines, hemis, presumably some other automotive engine (4 No hemis tractor)

One thought watching that video, the Green Fighter and 4 No Hemi tractor both hooked 3 times in the class due to sled reset and pulloff. If that happened in the US the boards on this site would be losing their mind about how expensive that is and how much the group hates pulloffs. It's also interesting that they had a 300 ft full pull but the top 5 tractors come back for a pulloff no matter what distance they pull the original time.

The crowd in Europe looks way more into pulling than anything in the US.

Love the variety of engine combos but not surprised to see that the hemi motors still dominated. Also interesting that Mitas tires are the go to tire option across the globe.

In Eurocup, you get 2 tries at a full pull which is 100 meters, or about 330 feet. Then, just lately, they made rule that the top 5 go to pull off. Thats why you seen 3 hooks sometimes, The top guys will always pull 2 times.

95% correct Smiling
It used to be that those who got over 90m / 270 ft had the option for a second attempt. Since that led to difficulties in planning the number of hooks per class it's now one shot and top 5 to Pul Off. Crowd is happy, because they get a Pull Off and it's pretty clear how many runs there will be in the class.
Having to run twice is a given that you know when you sign up and the same for all. It should be said, the series is only over 4 to 6 events for your class, so it's not that you have to do this every weekend.
We have tried without Pull Offs and it instantly drove the crowds away. If there are no Pull-Offs in other (local) series, our message boards explode with fan complaints the next day.
We prefer to have full stands...

How long (hours), are your events?

How many classes?

Re: Unl Mods October 16, 2022 06:06AM
That really depends.
Füchtorf, where this was filmed, starts on Saturday 11 am with about 3 hours of garden pulling and then several hot farm classes, limited and 7 mod until about 8 pm.
Then Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm with Super Sport, 55 Mod, Lim Super Stock, heavy Modifieds and Super Stocks.

Most events are over two days with most of these classes (some add more farm stock classes and don't have SS or the big mods) spread over the weekend. A few are only Saturday nights with less. But less than 6 hours are rare.

We've streamed a few events this year and you can still watch it all: [wwptvus.streamify.io]

What's the reason for so many day pulls? Where are all of the night pulls? Also, do you people overseas have such things as "County Fairs"?

Re: Unl Mods October 17, 2022 08:44AM
hmm...
Let's wind 40 years back when it all started:
Our country folks got up at 5 am and went to bed at 9.
Saturday was and still is a working day until noon. Then it was and still is mowing the lawn, washing the car, and getting ready for dinner. Then after dinner 3 hours of TV and off to bed.
Sunday it's church until 11 am.
So traditionally Pulls were on Sunday after church from like 11am to 5pm. (Calvinistic areas (the Netherlands) on Saturday as church won't allow them to pull on Sundays)

That is changing and the Sat night shows are becoming more popular with the younger folks, but the main activity time for families and older folks still is Sunday afternoon.
We still have many Pullers, who after 10 pm are out of their comfort zone load up and make sure they are home for church the next day.

County Fairs - yes, but they take place in the village/town center. You couldn't get a track installed there and because of the noise, we have to be outside of town.
There are few "fairgrounds".

Tractor Pulls here are stand-alone events on a farmer's field/pasture outside of town. The pulls draw more people than the rides...
