Great Show!!! September 08, 2009 01:06AM
That was one of the best shows I have seen in a while. Great numbers, good tracks, great sleds. I liked how they did driver intros, that was cool. Made it feel like a big time event. I dont know why they used the same officials on both tracks, as there were more than enough on the grounds?? Sled settings were right on the money. Great crowd as well.

Great show! Good job to everyone involved in making an event like this happen. I hope to see this event scheduled year after year. One recommendation would be to have all the classes that pulled next to the grandstands this year pull on the infield side track next year. At times it was difficult to see the tractors on the near side track from the grandstands.

track on modified side was terrible. plenty of holes and far from level. but a very good power track.

wow, what a super day for pulling fans that waited 18 yrs. for the tractors to return to syracuse, presale tickets sale was around 1800 to 2200 tickets sold est. they said in the pits that there were around 8,000 to 10,000 for the afternoon show alone. now remember the grandstands hold about 15,340. two tracks to pull on, just like back in the eightys 32 supers i beleive alone for the hvy super class at night,20 trucks and 16 mods. i think. only draw backs i saw was not another set of officials for two tracks, alot of work for esp starter and nytpa guy at finish line. can anyone tell me why danny thomas was disqualified because gaton walked out on the track at the starting line on dannys second attempt. danny was on the 20 mule team tractor which gaton owns.

It is a safety violation if any one is on the track under green flag once the driver starts to gain rpm.

Cory, Thanks for making the trip up to the NYS Fair. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and hope you return next year if the pull returns to the Fair. It's always nice to see some new tractors/trucks in NY.
