Compression Ratio January 04, 2023 05:41AM
Building a "too hot to farm" 510 ci motor with a 2.8x3 charger with a tight exhaust housing 3000 rpm. Have had a lot of discussion on compression ratios. Currently it is at 16:1 been told by some we need to loosen it up because of the increased boost pressure some are saying need to tighten it up. Just curious where some of you guys are at with yours.

I'd say that with the turbo that are running and the fact you are 3000 rpms, I'd say that you are in the ballpark. Just my opinion.

Try talking with lewis Conner, he seems very capable and willing to share indo, but not on here, PM Him,good Luck.Also many reputable engine builders, Riverside,Fair Valley,any of the turbo manufactures,Esdon Lane, Lemke,Harts,Wimmer,ect.

I would agree with that depending on what kind of camshaft he has.

mine is 14-1 3000 rpm
