oil plug in back of block on a ih that oils the rokers how do i get it out with the cam still in it do i need to take it out 3000 rpm small flat tappet

Drill a small hole through the plug then run a 2" long number 12 metal screw through the hole and when it comes in contact with the back of the camshaft the screw will push the plug out to you, the camshaft is harder than the screw so it won't hurt the cam. Don't drill the hole too big or you will have to get a bigger screw if you strip out the hole. Thats easier than pulling the front cover.
