DT-466
|
I have a wide bearing truck crankshaft that I’m wanting to put into a DT-436 block. I know I have to run the rods from the truck engine, but the main bearings are wider on the truck crank. Can I run the narrow main bearings from the tractor engine, and center the crankshaft up with a thrust washer? If so what kind of thrust washer do I need, one for a wide bearing motor or a narrow bearing motor? Thanks in advance, I figured some one in here has some experience with this project. |

I refer to this bulletin by Reliance and keep a paper copy in my manual. Hope this helps.
