Tricyle or narrow vs. wide July 28, 2023 06:31AM
We have had a new rule introduced into our local farm stock rules and it is that if you exceed 8 mph, no longer are tricycle front ends allowed. Just wondering if anyone has their thoughts on this if you think they are unsafe and how many accidents have happened because of them vs wide front axle. Thanks for your input.

Narrow front ends have not been legal since the early 1980's in the larger association's.
It is (was) a safety issue.
Not sure of any antique associations making them illegal.

I think that if the driver is in control, which most are, there shouldn't be a problem. But I guess there is always an incident and the blame gets pushed onto the tractor. Just sad because there will be tractors not able to run and either go elsewhere or stay home. And that's not fun. Were all here to pull safely and have fun doing it.

BACK IN THE DAY A TRACTOR WOULD BE DQ IF RARED UP TO HIGH WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT RULE
