Looking for good expansion joint for exhaust September 15, 2009 02:31PM
Looking for a stainless exhaust bellow for a header, was wondering where most people buy them at. I see Mcmaster Carr has them in 3 inch pipe, was wondering if anybody has bought them from there before and how they worked. My exhaust is 11 guage 3 inch OD tubing, so I can possibly leave a 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap at the joint of my 3 inch tubing, and cover the joint with the bellow and weld both ends shut? Would like some input if I am on the right track or if someone has some better ideas. Thanks for any advise.
