I bought a 1066 out of the weeds. We are putting it back together to farm with and it may get hooked to a sled occasionally but the injection pump needs attention. My question is how big of a head can one go with to still be a reliable farm tractor but still have plenty left to play with?

Find one that was on a truck application with the 11mm plunger and turn it up.

Where is the best place to buy an 11mm head to put in a pump?

I would try a truck junk yard or give Fair Valley Performance, or Schied Diesel a try

I would just go 13mm. 11mm's are not made any more, 13mm are only made in high lift versions with big cc's. A used 13mm would be a good option. There is one in the for sale pages right now. I am not connected, or know anything about it.

13mm rotary pump, it’s a 380cc pump set at 3000rpm and do have a 3500rpm spring for it. $3200
Also have a cam for a dt414 that I was gonna use but decided to go a different route. $500

If you want to farm with it, do not put a 13 mm pump on it. Take the stock pump off, send to fair valley and tell them what you’re after. They will fix you up and you will be happy with a “worked” stock pump
